The Minister of State for Social Development, Pierre Marois, tabled the Politique québécoise de la santé et de la sécurité des travailleurs (Québec policy on worker health and safety) before the National Assembly. One chapter of this White Paper had this to say about research: “It is very difficult to describe the current situation concerning research in the field of occupational health and safety. On the one hand, a number of research activities appear to exist that are directly, or more often indirectly, related to worker health and safety. On the other, the application of research results appears very random and irregular. Generally speaking, information is non-existent or incomplete.”
