  •   June 17, 2013

The Board of Directors of the Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité du travail (IRSST) has renewed the mandate of its president and CEO, Marie Larue, for another five-year term.

Holder of a master’s degree in chemistry, Ms. Larue also did graduate studies in industrial toxicology and business administration. She then went on to work as a researcher in the pharmaceutical industry before holding key positions as director of prevention-inspection and director of compensation and rehabilitation at the Commission de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CSST), and elsewhere.

“Her vast knowledge of the various issues related to occupational health and safety help make the IRSST an institute that is in touch with the ever-changing realities of the work world. This second mandate will allow her to further promote the IRSST’s reputation in the research community,” stressed Michel Després, chair of the IRSST’s Board of Directors as he announced the renewal of the president and CEO’s mandate until 2018.
