Participants Sought for a Study on the Life Course of Injured Immigrant Workers

A research team led by Daniel Côté, occupational rehabilitation researcher at the IRSST, is seeking participants for its study entitled Dynamic Portrait of the Life Courses of Immigrant Workers with Employment Injuries and OHS Professionals’ Strategies to Optimize the Return to Work (2023-0013).

Eligibility criteria

  • Immigrated to Canada as an adult (18 years and older)
  • Have had an occupational injury compensated by the CNESST
  • Have had a primary diagnosis of a physical nature (e.g., sprain, strain, fracture, musculoskeletal pain, etc.)
  • Have participated or are currently participating in a return-to-work program

If you are no longer participating in a return-to-work program, you are still eligible if a maximum of 3 years has passed since the CNESST file was closed.

Your participation consists of

  • a one-on-one interview that will last approximately 90 minutes
  • the opportunity to participate in a focus group

You will receive $50 upon completion of the first interview.

This study, an initiative of the Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité au travail (IRSST), is conducted by Daniel Côté, occupational rehabilitation researcher at the IRSST. The study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee–Society and Culture (REC–SC) of the Université de Montréal.
