Xavier Robert-Lachaîne works in the OSH and Sustainable Prevention Work Environment research field at the IRSST. During his graduate studies, he first trained as a kinesiologist at UQAM, then specialized in the biomechanics of sports performance at McGill University and shoulder rehabilitation at Université de Montréal. During his three postdoctoral positions at the IRSST, ÉTS and Université Laval, he developed competencies in the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders and in onboard systems that can measure the kinematics of the human body in real-world work situations. His recent work concerns industrial exoskeletons, training in handling, and office automation.
