Method: IRSST - 401
Sampling device:
Sampling media required:
#IRSSTDescription
961 Preweighed teflon filter, 25mm, 5µm, IOM

Parameters:
Flow rate: 2 L/min
TWA sampling volume: 960 L
STEL sampling volume: -
Principle: Gravimetric measurement (Grav)
Precision (%): 6,5
Minimum reported value: 100 µg
Remarks: Determination in air of mineral oil mist, soluble, synthetic, half-synthetic and vegetable. Two results are issued on the analytical report: 1) Oil mist and 2) oil and particulates. The « oil mist » result corresponds to the concentration to compare to the PEV. The « oil and particulates » is the concentration of all aerosols collected on the filter. This method is non-specific and the oil type (mineral, vegetable, etc.) can not be identified. For more information, please contact the IRSST. Cigarette smoke may cause interference.
