Analysis:

Chrome VI hydro insolubles

Method: IRSST - 365
Sampling device:
Sampling media required:
#IRSSTDescription
976 25mm quartz filter in a conical cassette

Parameters:
Flow rate: 1.5 to 4 L/min
TWA sampling volume: 360 L
STEL sampling volume: -
Principle: Ion chromatography with visible detection (IC-VIS)
Precision (%): 3,6
Minimum reported value: 0,04 µg
Remarks: The analytical results are expressed as total water-insoluble chromium VI. Surface tests for chromates can be carried out, and the required equipment (kit #2625) is available at the IRSST. Extraction delay of 8 days for welding fumes and 10 days for the other processes following the sampling date. Ship all samples by rapid courier within a period not exceeding 24 hours after sampling. Any substance that produces a response on the detector at 540 nm and that has a retention time similar to Cr VI is a potential interference.
