Profile

Joannie Martin has worked at the IRSST since 2012. She completed a PhD in chemistry at the Université de Montréal under the co-directorship of the Polytechnique Montréal. She moved on from her position as a scientific professional in the Laboratory Division to become a researcher in the Chemical and Biological Hazard Prevention research field, where she has been since 2017. Her research interests concern the characterization and quantification of legally regulated mineral particles and the development of methods for analyzing these particles in an occupational health and safety context. Her work focuses mainly on the analysis of asbestos and mineral particles.
