France Labrèche has been a researcher in the IRSST’s Chemical and Biological Hazard Prevention research field since 2009. Before joining the Institute, where her work focuses on carcinogens in the workplace, she spent a number of years working in public health, always in the field of occupational health. Since 1996, she began concentrating on lung diseases and occupational cancers.  She is a clinical adjunct professor at Université de Montréal’s School of Public Health and sits on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association for Research on Work and Health (CARWH). Since 1996, her primary focus has been cancers of occupational origin and work-related lung diseases.
