Profile

Geneviève Marchand has worked at the IRSST since 1990. She holds a Ph.D. in microbiology from Université Laval. A researcher in the Chemical and Biological Hazard Prevention research field since 2012, she was formerly a scientific professional in the Research and Expertise Division, and at the same time, was in charge of the microbiology laboratory in the Laboratory Division. Her particular area of interest is the problems related to microorganisms in the workplace.  Geneviève is a clinical adjunct professor in Université de Montréal’s School of Public Health and the author of numerous publications including analytical methods, research reports and scientific articles, in addition to having participated in the writing of three collective works. She has also coached and directed around a dozen CEGEP and university students.
