Hugues Nélisse has been an IRSST researcher in the field of workplace acoustics and noise since 2004. His work focuses on assessing and reducing noise at the source, dosimetry, hearing protection, and alarm signals in the workplace. He holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Université de Sherbrooke and worked for five years in the private sector before joining the IRSST. Mr. Nélisse has published numerous scientific documents, including articles for scientific journals and research reports, and taken part in many outreach and knowledge transfer activities. As an associate professor at Montreal’s École de technologie supérieure, he participates in supervising graduate students. He also sits on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Acoustical Association.
