Mohamed Nejib Saidi is a scientific professional in the IRSST’s Laboratory Division. His main tasks consist of assessing the performance of barrier masks and air-purifying respirators (APRs). The work he did during his master’s and doctoral studies were part of a project launched by the IRSST under the title Characterization and control of the silica dust emitted by the dry and wet polishing operation in the granite and other quartz-containing-materials processing sector, in collaboration with the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) and Polytechnique Montréal. He was also a research associate in a laboratory at Concordia University, in partnership with the IRSST. His work there consisted of assessing the performance of filters. Mr. Nejib is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
