Due to the rapid spread of COVID-19, and to ensure the health and safety of its employees and its entire network, the IRSST has implemented exceptional measures.
Geneviève Pinard is a research management advisor for the IRSST’s Chemical and Biological Hazard Prevention research field and in charge of the Graduate Studies Scholarship Program. With a bachelor’s degree in biology and a masters in business administration, she worked for several years in research and development at a biotechnology company before joining the IRSST. In charge of the internship program and of the development of customized immunoassays and cell-based assays for the company’s clients, Ms. Pinard was also the technical coordinator for a product development team. Her previous positions also include that of a quality control coordinator in an SQF- and HACCP-certified agrifood company. Her current research interests concern the prevention of occupational diseases related to exposure to chemical substances and biological agents.
