Abstract

The IRSST’s laboratories publish different guides intended for Québec occupational health professionals, including the biological monitoring guide. The most recent version dates from May 1999. The purpose of the present study is to update this document by integrating recent data published in this field and by making the necessary changes so that the reference values that it contains comply with the new RROHS standards.
The updating of the guide’s data will be based mainly on documentation on the ACGIH’s biological exposure indices (version 2001) and recent data published in this field, including data from project #097-099 (Use of modelling to quantify biological variation : Production of a guide to biological monitoring strategis).
