In research subsidized by the IRSST, QInc has done work over the last six years to reduce the incidence of slip and fall accidents for Québec workers. During this period, a series of field and laboratory experimental studies have confirmed that optimized maintenance reduces floor slipperiness. This work led to the writing of technical reports. This document dynamically summarizes the research activities carried out by QInc between 1997 and 2002. It is intended for occupational health and safety practitioners who deal with the issue of slip and fall accidents.
