Screening for occupational carcinogens in Montréal : a pilot study Abstract The study of the relationship between occupation and cancer can be used as a screening method to discover unsuspected carcinogens.Validation of the chosen methodology was performed in a study of the occupational and environmental exposures of 650 patients between 35 and 70 years old, drawn from Montréal-area hospitals. The various data collection procedures were refined, and novel statistical analyses were developed.A larger-scale project using the statistical analysis techniques developed in this pilot study was performed (RS-85-47).
