Pilot study of the interrelation of trunk rotation movements in individuals suffering from lumbar sprains Abstract This project will explore the utility of a new technique developed at the Hôpital Sainte-Justine for the diagnosis of lumbar sprains. Trunk movements in ten normal subjects and ten subjects suffering from lumbar sprains will be evaluated using a three-dimensional, high-speed video system. If validated, the technique will facilitate the identification and quantification of the dysfunction in individuals suffering from sprains, and could eventually be used to measure therapeutic effectiveness.
