Abstract

As part of the lift truck research program, this project will document the effects of new training by the Préventex joint sector-based association on the risks that these vehicles represent. It will evaluate how lift truck operators and managers perceive these risks after having participated in the teaching module on stacking and unstacking. It will determine whether these workers then recognize the differences between the procedures advocated in the course and actual practices in companies. This evaluation will help improve the Préventex training program and stimulate reflection by the IRSST’s researchers on the development of risk management tools intended for workplace practitioners.
