Abstract

Over the past years, the IRSST has funded several studies to evaluate the optimal conditions for cleaning floors in various work environments, with the aim of reducing the number of injuries caused by falls on slippery floors. In this research, researchers wanted to know if floor maintenance and wear had an influence on slip resistance. The report presents the detailed results obtained in the field and in the laboratory, with a section dedicated to the study of floors covered with paraffin wax.
