How companies incite their supervisors to participate effectively in prevention activities Abstract There is a lack of information about the best way to motivate supervisors, and the workers under their supervision, to participate in prevention activities. This project will conduct six cases studies of companies which have implemented various strategies aimed at fostering the participation of supervisors. The strategies adopted will be documented and analyzed, and their effect on supervisors' prevention-related behaviour and on the reduction of occupational accidents described.The results of this study will prove useful to employers, unions, supervisors, workers, joint health and safety committees, joint sectoral associations, and occupational health and safety professionals and consultants.
