Guide to the adjustment of time-weighted averages(TWAs) for unusual work schedules Abstract The joint committee responsible for the revision of Annexe A of the Regulation Concerning the Quality of the Work Environment mandated the IRSST to prepare a guide to the adjustment of time-weighted averages (TWAs) for non-traditional work schedules, using the Institute’s research report of 1997 as a starting point and taking into account the committee’s suggested modifications. The guide will help occupational health specialists adjust the TWAs of each of the substances listed in the Regulation for work schedules other than the traditional one of 8 hours/week, 5 days/week.
