Functional incapacity in a group of workers performing repetitive movements (Phase 1) Abstract Published studies indicate that cumulative trauma disorders (CTDs) recur with great frequency, suggesting that multiple recurrences are responsible for the development of permanent disabilities. As the literature on this subject is quantitatively and qualitatively inadequate, this project was undertaken to evaluate the feasibility of measuring the medium- and long-term impact of work involving repetitive movement on the musculoskeletal system.Due to difficulty gaining access to data, researchers were obligated to suspend their work on this project, pending the negotiation of new agreements Produced Under this Project Scientific Publications Guide pour la planification du développement de la recherche sur le processus de production des handicapsFougeyrollas P., Doré S., Hébert A., Lapointe C.Source : in La situation de la recherche sur le processus de production des handicaps : Priorités et axes de développement : Actes du colloque dans le cadre du 58e Congrès de l'Association canadienne-française pour l'avancement des sciences / ACFAS, (58e : mai 1990 : Ste-Foy, Canada), 1990, p. 109-113 Additional Information Type: Project Number: 0090-1020 Status: Completed Research Field: OSH and Sustainable Prevention Work Environment Team: Denis Laliberté (Université Laval)Michel Vézina (Université Laval)
