Functional incapacity in a group of workers performing repetitive movements (Phase 1)

Abstract

Published studies indicate that cumulative trauma disorders (CTDs) recur with great frequency, suggesting that multiple recurrences are responsible for the development of permanent disabilities. As the literature on this subject is quantitatively and qualitatively inadequate, this project was undertaken to evaluate the feasibility of measuring the medium- and long-term impact of work involving repetitive movement on the musculoskeletal system.

Due to difficulty gaining access to data, researchers were obligated to suspend their work on this project, pending the negotiation of new agreements
