Dissemination and transmission of the results of Opération JeuneSST

Abstract

According to data from the year 2000, young people 15 to 25 years of age make up 15% of the Québec workforce and perform 10% of the hours worked by all of the workforce, but nevertheless represent 17% of the compensated occupational injuries. Considering the situation, the CSST created an action plan intended for them, and the IRSST launched Opération JeuneSST. In the context of this operation, the IRSST initiated three research projects to better identify the needs and to communicate some preliminary occupational health and safety results for young workers. This third activity consist of disseminating, as it is produced, the main results from the two other components of the research to a wide range of researchers and professionals in order to interest them in these questions. The researchers will use a wide variety of means to propagate the pertinent information relating to the work of this operation.
