Development of an automated sampling method and analytical methods for tracer gas studies Abstract To help the IRSST resolve problems related to ventilation, indoor air quality, and the identification of sources of contamination, the Institute has developed expertise in tracer gas studies, which consists of following the dispersion of a gas injected into an enclosed space. This technique requires high-frequency simultaneous sampling at several sites. This project will develop an automated sampling module that will allow simultaneous air sampling at multiple sites, and determination of the kinetics of tracer gas dispersion. The module will be compatible with two analytical techniques (photo-acoustic detection and electron capture detection), ensuring maximum flexibility.
