Demonstration of the use of an evaluative economic model of ergonomic interventions in industrial workplaces Abstract The inability to evaluate the economic impact of ergonomic projects in industrial workplaces has been a major obstacle to their systematic implementation, which would reduce the risk of injuries by improving workstation design. This project will demonstrate the applicability of an evaluative economic model to real-world cases. To this end, high-risk workstations will be identified and characterized in volunteer companies, and data analysed using the analytical tables incorporated into the economic model. The result will allow the economic impact of projects attempting to resolve ergonomic problems at these workstations to be evaluated. To encourage the systematic use of the model by managers, a guide for the use of the model's analytical tables and a computerized version of the tables will also be produced.
