Analysis of the Benefits and Costs of In-House Occupational Health and Safety: (Phase 1) Development of an Analysis Tool Abstract Even though occupational injuries are economic issues for companies, workers and society in general, professionals still have a difficult task in measuring the benefits and costs of programs to improve occupational health and safety in companies. The first part of this report is a literature survey that summarizes current knowledge on the analysis of health and safety benefits and costs. The second part includes a benefit and cost analysis model that demonstrates the profitability of investing in occupational health and safety.
