Review and Analysis of the Literature on Changes in Physiological Parameters among Older Workers, and their Impact on Exposure Limits with a View to Preventive Action Abstract With the aging of the workforce, governments are being called upon to make decisions that will encourage workers to postpone retirement or even encourage retirees to return to work. With age, however, physiological and biochemical changes appear that can affect the ability of older workers to tolerate the same levels of chemical exposure as younger age groups. Adopting a preventive action perspective, and with a view to the integration and retention of workers in employment, this project will review and analyze the literature on changes in physiological parameters that can influence the reaction of older workers to chemical exposure.
