Implementing and monitoring the measures
INITIATE AN ONGOING PROCESS
Implementing and monitoring the measures retained is done on an ongoing basis.
The measures you will already have identified in a work session should be put in place first, but others could also be proposed for later integration into the process, which must constantly evolve.
It is essential that the implementation process be accompanied by adequate monitoring strategies in order to:
- closely monitor the implementation of the interventions;
- readjust the chosen measures as needed, if they do not meet expectations;
- keep track of the overall process so that eventually it can be evaluated.
Monitoring the implementation of the measures retained can be seen as the regular updating (according to needs) of the action plan, while maintaining transparent communication with the various levels of the organization.
The committee should therefore meet on a regular basis during the year in order to:
- take stock of the progress being made, based on indicators defined when the action plan was drafted;
- make any necessary adjustments or changes during the process depending on the conditions in which the organization is evolving;
- see whether any other courses of action have emerged along the way.
The progress being made in the process and the obstacles encountered could be assessed on a regular basis, for example, every year, in order to apply any lessons learned to the following year.
Evaluating implementation and assessing progress allow you, among other things, to identify for future years the factors facilitating and hindering the process.

In the event that the committee in charge or senior management has doubts about the potential success of a chosen measure involving major changes in the organization, it may be appropriate to carry out a PILOT PROJECT. The measure in question can be implemented in this pilot project on a smaller scale, for example, in a specific sector, division, or team. The success or not of the pilot project will have an impact on the decision as to whether or not the measure should be implemented throughout the organization.
