You can take action!
The previous step involved identifying several risk and protection factors, based on the information collected and using the chosen method, such as consultations, interviews, discussions, or questionnaires.
If you used the Checklist for Identifying Risk and Protection Factors these risk factors will already have been ranked according to three levels of importance.
All this information will be used to develop and carry out an action plan that includes measures aimed at reducing violence in the organization while improving workers’ psychological health.
In other words, having secured a commitment from the stakeholders and taken a “snapshot”of the organization, it is now time to shift into ACTION mode!
For the next three steps (3, 4, and 5), we have included some tools that will guide you in developing an action plan, monitoring the measures retained, and evaluating the effects. You can use these tools as is or as a source of inspiration for developing your own action plan and monitoring tools.
First, here is a tool to guide you in developing your action plan for preventing workplace violence.
