The IRSST–Ambassadors’ Club Joint Award will be given to an applicant who has demonstrated, through active involvement in a scientific committee or an organizing committee of a major national or international conference, his or her intention to attract to Montreal a scientific event whose main focus is OHS.
This award was created in the context of a partnership formed between the Palais des congrès de Montréal and the Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité du travail (IRSST) with the aim of bringing high-profile national or international conferences in the field of OHS research to Montreal.
Who can apply?
Any scientist affiliated with a Quebec research institution who is participating in the work of a scientific committee or an organizing committee of a major national or international conference. See the eligibility requirements in the Rules of the Call for Applications section.
- To receive an award of $10,000 and reimbursement for the costs of two trips aimed at formalizing the arrangements for holding such an event in Montreal
- To raise the profile of occupational health and safety research by hosting major national and international conferences in Montreal
- To bring scientists and professionals together in Montreal for the purpose of exchanging knowledge about advances in their field with colleagues from research centres, universities, hospitals and other Montreal institutions associated with the health sciences, ultimately to generate significant intellectual spinoffs
