Abstract

CSST figures show that upper limb injuries account for a third of musculoskeletal disorders requiring a personalized rehabilitation plan. In the case of shoulder injuries, it takes longer to restore proper function and achieve a sustainable return to work.

It is important to be able to quickly identify workers at risk of developing shoulder function problems and steer them towards effective, adapted rehabilitation programs. This project proposes to verify the existence of a predictive index, combining a set of clinical, radiological and diagnostic variables and correlating to shoulder function in workers. This should lead to a better understanding of intrinsic determinants in loss of shoulder function in workers with torn rotator cuffs.
