Development of a web site on manual handling activities Abstract The Internet has become an essential source of information. Web sites are therefore an effective means of disseminating research results, as demonstrated by the IRSST’s site. Since new knowledge resulting from current studies on handling should be rapidly and easily accessible, this project involves adding a section devoted to it to the IRSST’s Web site. The researchers will identify existing sites that address this question, will study their content, and will extract from them relevant data on manual handling and on the means of preventing back injuries. The site that they will then create will have several sections, with one on handling risks and the appropriate solutions, and another on the IRSST’s research program on handling and on worker training. Interested individuals will thus have rapid and easy access to recent information on this subject.
