Profile

Blaise Labrecque joined the IRSST in 2015 as director of the Mechanical and Physical Risk Prevention Division. Before coming to the Institute, he worked for many years in public and private R&D centres, as well as start-ups. He has developed a broad range of expertise as a researcher, innovation/marketing manager, and coordinator of large-scale initiatives with multi-disciplinary teams, and in the strategic and operational management of R&D institutions. A member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, Mr. Labrecque holds a master’s degree in chemical engineering and a specialized MBA in technology management for executives.
