Denys Denis has worked at the IRSST since 2000, the year he obtained his Ph.D. in ergonomics from McGill University. His general research interest is MSD prevention, while his specific interests are the links between training and employment, manual and assisted handling activities, and knowledge transfer. His methodological approach is based on the ergonomic analysis of work activities from a research-intervention perspective. More recently, Mr. Denis’ work has focused on skilled trades workers in the aerospace industry. He also helps train future ergonomics and preventionists through his teaching activities at several Québec universities. Since 2010, he has been co-editor of the journal Perspectives interdisciplinaires sur le travail et la santé (PISTES).
