OHS scientific watch in blog form
The Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité du travail (IRSST) is making accessible, in blog form, the scientific information documented by its Strategic Watch Department. This scientific information comes from the daily monitoring of more than 650 Web pages dealing with occupational health and safety (OHS) and the information collected by its personnel during discussions, workshops, forums, colloquia, conferences or any other event addressing the major issues of OHS research.
PARTNERSHIP
IRSST and REPAR/FRSQ
The IRSST and the Réseau provincial de recherche en adaptation-réadaptation of the Fonds de la recherche en santé du Québec (REPAR/FRSQ) have just entered into a partnership agreement. Through this agreement, the parties will jointly finance the production of knowledge reviews.
As a first initiative, the IRSST and REPAR/FRSQ are inviting researchers interested in participating in a call for proposals on osteoarthrosis of the knee.
JOSEPH ZAYED
Research leader in the chemical substances and biological agents field
Professor in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health at the Université de Montréal, Joseph Zayed has just been named research leader in the chemical substances and biological agents field at the IRSST. With a doctorate in public health, specializing in environmental toxicology, and author of numerous scientific publications, Mr. Zayed was also the director of the Centre interuniversitaire de toxicologie from 2001 to 2004 and chair of the expert advisory committee of the Canadian Network of Toxicology Centres in 2003- 2004.
