Thematic scholarships (Master’s and Doctoral)
An action strategy has been adopted by the IRSST’s Scientific Advisory Board to encourage the next generation of professionals in the research fields of Protective Equipment and the Safety of Industrial Tools, Machines and Processes. As a result, up to four scholarships will be awarded to candidates whose study subject is related to the research orientations of these two fields.
The regulations, amounts allotted, forms and deadline for submitting an application for a thematic scholarship are the same as for the regular program. Please refer to the General, and Master's and Doctoral Scholarships Regulations.

- Methods for testing and evaluating protective equipment
- Equipment improvement and development; adaptation to the utilization context
- Tools for predicting the behaviour of protective equipment
- Study of the human factors related to the use of the equipment
SAFETY OF INDUSTRIAL TOOLS, MACHINES AND PROCESSES> Favoured orientations
- Assessment of machine-related risks
- Reduction of machine-related risks: integration of safety into design; guards and protective devices
