Chemical and Biological Hazards Prevention

The mandate of this department is, through research, to help prevent occupational diseases and the health impacts of chemical substances and biological agents on exposed workers. The main research orientations are as follows:

  1. The development of strategies and methods for evaluating exposure and estimating health risks;
  2. The development and validation of technologies and tools designed to reduce and control exposure;
  3. The development of methods for sampling and analyzing chemical substances and biological agents.
