Jacques Lavoie is a researcher, bioecologist and occupational hygienist. He holds a bachelor of science degree in biology with an ecology option, as well as a master of applied science degree in occupational health from McGill University, and has been a researcher at the IRSST since 1982. Jacques has participated in over 150 academic or popularized publications in occupational health and safety and presented as many scientific papers. An associate professor in the Department of Environmental and Workplace Health at Université de Montréal’s Faculty of Medicine since 2007, he has also been a guest professor in the graduate studies program of the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health at McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine since 1990, where he teaches about biological hazards.
