Martine Poulin

Profile

Research on labour studies is one of Martine Poulin’s main areas of interest. Applied research is for her the preferred route for adequately meeting the needs of the population. With a deeply engrained public service culture, she has worked for many years as a professional and manager in the research divisions of public institutions, particularly the Commission des normes du travail and the Ministère du Travail du Québec. Ms. Poulin joined the IRSST in October 2013 as a natural continuation of her career path. She heads teams in the IRSST’s Sustainable Prevention and Work Environment and Occupational Rehabilitation research fields. She holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in economics, as well as a Ph.D. in industrial relations.
