Updating of the database on the safety devices most commonly used in Québec Abstract A previous study (099-110) led to the creation of a database of industrial machine safety devices that has been integrated into the IRSST Web site. The arrival of new products and several manufacturers on the market necessitates its updating, particularly since companies and occupational health and safety practitioners use this tool extensively and the CSST launched its machine safety action plan in 2005. This study will involve validating the content of the database and adding all the new products and manufacturers as well as a description of the various devices offered. This project will not only help practitioners find potential solutions to the safety problems posed by industrial machines, but will also help identify new technologies that could then be the subject of more extensive studies.
