Montréal, le 1 mars 2010 - Le 1er volet d'une étude inédite publiée par l'Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité du travail (IRSST) se penche sur les réactions post-traumatiques des policiers montréalais ayant vécu des événements majeurs et bouleversants dans le cadre de leur travail. Cette étude, une première au Québec, propose des pistes qui permettront de faciliter le dépistage et la prévention de l'état de stress post-traumatique (ÉSPT) chez les policiers.

Montréal, January 5, 2010 - The Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité du travail (IRSST) and the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission (WHSCC) of Newfoundland and Labrador have signed a specific agreement with the aim of the realization of a review of the scientific literature on the risks of professional cancer for the shipyard workers.

Décerné par le Réseau de recherche en santé des populations du Québec, ce prix vise à reconnaître l'excellence de l'ensemble de la carrière d'un chercheur québécois en santé des populations incluant les services et les politiques de la santé ainsi que la santé et la société.

Montréal, November 24, 2009 - The Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité du travail (IRSST) and the Réseau provincial de recherche en adaptation-réadaptation of the Fonds de la recherche en santé du Québec (REPAR/FRSQ) have just entered into a partnership agreement. Through this agreement, the parties will jointly finance the production of knowledge reviews.

Montréal, November 24, 2009 - Professor in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health at the Université de Montréal, Joseph Zayed has just been named research leader in the chemical substances and biological agents field at the Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité du travail (IRSST). With a doctorate in public health, specializing in environmental toxicology, and author of numerous scientific publications, Mr. Zayed was also the director of the Centre interuniversitaire de toxicologie from 2001 to 2004 and chair of the expert advisory committee of the Canadian Network of Toxicology Centres in 2003- 2004.

Montréal, 20 novembre 2009 - Avec la collaboration de dix organismes partenaires, dont l'IRSST, le REPAR/FRSQ a tenu les États généraux de la recherche en adaptation-réadaptation 2009. L'objectif des États généraux 2009 était que les acteurs constatent l'état actuel de la recherche et partagent une vision commune de son avenir et de ses retombées.

Montréal, November 6, 2009 - The Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité du travail (IRSST) and the Institut national de recherche et de sécurité of France (INRS) have agreed to formalize their exchanges in machine safety. To do this, the two organizations have signed a specific partnership agreement on research topics of common interest in order to contribute to the prevention of accidents related to the operation and maintenance of industrial machines.

This scientific information comes from the daily monitoring of more than 650 Web pages dealing with occupational health and safety (OHS) and the information collected by its personnel during discussions, workshops, forums, colloquia, conferences or any other event addressing the major issues of OHS research.

Montréal, October 15, 2009 - The Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité du travail (IRSST) and the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission (WHSCC) of Newfoundland and Labrador have signed a memorandum of understanding relating to research and expertise. 

Montréal, le 1^er octobre 2009 - L'Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité du travail (IRSST) et le Centre d'expertise en analyse environnementale du Québec (CEAEQ) du ministère du Développement durable, de l'Environnement et des Parcs unissent leurs efforts pour mettre en ouvre un secteur d'accréditation pour la microbiologie de l'air. Une entente de collaboration à cet effet vient d'être paraphée par les deux organismes.

Montréal, le 17 septembre 2009 - Lors de sa séance régulière, le conseil d'administration de l'Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité du travail (IRSST) a renouvelé, pour une période de trois ans, le mandat du docteur Alain Neveu à titre de représentant des employeurs au conseil scientifique. Son mandat a ainsi été reconduit pour une troisième fois. Omnipraticien, médecin du travail et conseiller médical auprès d'entreprises publiques et privées, le Dr Neveu siège au conseil scientifique depuis septembre 2000.
