The IRSST - a collaborator of the ILO

CISMontréal, June 4, 2010 - The International Labour Organization (ILO) has just welcomed the Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité du travail (IRSST) into its network of CIS Centres as a Collaborating Centre for Canada. The International Occupational Safety and Health Information Centre (CIS) collects all relevant information published worldwide on occupational health and safety.

Wide accessibility
“By becoming a CIS Collaborating Centre, the scientific knowledge produced by the Institute will be more widely accessible for everyone wanting to support their preventive actions with evidence,” explained Marie Larue, the IRSST's president and CEO.

Recognition
In its letter confirming this affiliation, the ILO states that “the IRSST's presence and influence have been recognized worldwide for thirty years in the preventionist community. We are therefore honoured to include the IRSST in the network of CIS Centres and are delighted about collaborating with you in the development of our global network of institutions dedicated to the collection and dissemination of information in the occupational health and safety field.”
