Montréal, November 6, 2009 - At its fourth seminar held in June 2009, the International Section of the ISSA on Education and Training for Prevention adopted the Lisbon Charter, which puts forward a strategy for the occupational health and safety orientation and support of young workers. health and safety orientation and support of young workers.
 
Ms Marie Larue, President and CEO of IRSST and Secretary General of the ISSA Section stated that this strategy comes in the wake of the Seoul Declaration adopted in July 2008 (www.seouldeclaration.org ), that emphasizes the development of national prevention cultures in occupational health and safety, in which governments, employers and workers play an active role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
