This document is intended for Québec professionals working in the occupational health field. Its purpose is to provide the required information relating to sample collection and the interpretation of biological monitoring of exposure (BME) data. This guide is in two parts: a technical section that includes a list of the toxicological analyses available at the IRSST as well as the procedures relating to sampling, the shipping of samples, and the communication of analytical results, and a second section that corresponds to a summary of the scientific knowledge relevant to the interpretation of BME results.
