In support of the Regulation Concerning the Quality of the Work Environment, the Institute recently produced a guide to respirators used in Québec. However, this guide is relatively complex and inappropriate as a prevention tool in the field. In this project, researchers will collaborate with employers, unions, the CSST and industrial hygienists to produce a simplified, practical, and easy-to-use version of the guide that will help users select respirators that best meet their needs. The guide will also contain basic information on respiratory protection and on the correct use of respirators.
