Development of the OUIE_2000, noise analysis and management software program Abstract The new, improved, version of OUIE 2000 software includes a user-friendly graphical interface. After entering data concerning the workplace (walls, dividers, noise sources, acoustic screens), users can rapidly obtain a map illustrating the intensity and dose of noise to which each group of workers is subjected. The software can simulate and assess the efficiency of various noise reduction measures. Considered relevant and easy-to-use by Alcan’s industrial hygiene experts, this software continues to acquire new features, such as a module to estimate the sound power of noise sources.
