Design of a noise reduction device for circular saw blades Abstract The circular saw blades used to cut materials in numerous industries generate noise levels that frequently exceed 90 dBA at the workstations. The concept of a resonance absorber for circular saw blades will be developed with the collaboration of industry and health network professionals.A prototype will be produced and evaluated on a simple trimmer in a sawmill. An appreciable reduction in the noise generated by circular saw blades is expected. This noise reduction device could be marketed.
