The OHS Challenges of the Next Decade

Montréal, December 18, 2009 - In September 2009 in Copenhagen, on the initiative of the Denmark National Research Centre for the Working Environment, leaders of the main research centers met during a seminar on the working world challenges of the next decade. The IRSST was participating.

On this occasion, the speakers had to answer a few questions:

How is the working environment changing during the next decade, with respect to each country?
What challenges do these changes pose, with respect to practical prevention?
How it will be developed the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders? Are there any emerging risks with regard to chemical or biological hazards in the working environment (not including nano-materials)?
What is the future role of workplace health promotion?
What knowledge gaps – and needs for new research – are foreseen?
