Montréal, April 19, 2010 - In the context of its 30th anniversary, the Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité du travail (IRSST) will grant, in 2010, a $10,000 prize to reward the author or authors of the best scientific article published in the last five years in the occupational health and safety field.
“For 30 years, those who have dedicated themselves to scientific research have made a significant contribution to the prevention of industrial accidents and occupational diseases and to worker rehabilitation. In launching this prize, we want to reward the excellence, merit and originality of the work of researchers subsidized in whole or in part by the IRSST, and who have participated in an eminent way to the advancement of knowledge,” explained the IRSST’s president and CEO, Marie Larue.
Researchers have until June 28, 2010, to apply. A jury made up of scientific experts from varied and complementary fields will evaluate these applications.
The IRSST Prize for the best scientific article will be awarded in the fall.
