Abstract

The aim of this project is to update the clinical management principles for workers with low back pain in order to determine the successful strategies for their interdisciplinary application, and to develop a common strategy to promote them. The researchers will do a critical survey of the applicable literature and will make use of the international expertise of a group of specialists. They will then validate the thus identified management principles with one hundred first-line practitioners, namely physicians, physiotherapists and occupational therapists. The scientific knowledge acquired during the CLIP project and the exchanges between these health professionals will promote the harmonization of the practices of first-line professionals, and as a result, will enable them to improve the quality and continuity of the care given to workers with low back pain.
