Abstract
Joint sector-based associations respond to the demands of workplaces through such things as consulting and technical assistance services. The authors studied the interventions of consultants from four joint sector-based associations in order to understand by what mechanisms their interventions help to promote prevention and how the company’s context affects the results of these interventions. They thus developed an analytical model for understanding the factors that affect the changes produced during external occupational health and safety interventions.
